Why RBTs and BCBAs choose Career Based Solutions
Why work here
A team that stays
People work here because they want to. That means colleagues who understand how hard this is, who support each other instead of compete, and who stay through the tough seasons. That's rare in this field.
Flexibility that works
You'll have input on your schedule and the areas you serve across Northern Virginia. Consistent clients mean predictable weeks. You're not piecing together random hours from different agencies.
Real supervision
Your BCBA will observe your work, give you honest feedback, and help you solve problems in real moments. Not box-checking. Not meetings that feel like check-ins. Actual professional development.
Compensation that respects the work
Competitive pay. W2 employment. Benefits for full-time staff. We don't cut corners on the people who make this mission possible.
Room to grow
Whether you're an RBT building toward your BCBA, a senior clinician ready to supervise, or a BCBA looking to expand your impact, there's a path forward here.
What in-home and school-based ABA therapy looks like
What the work looks like
As an RBT
You show up to the same home or school each week. The kid knows you're coming. Some days are hard—nothing clicks, the family is overwhelmed, progress feels invisible. Then there's the day they try something without prompting. They ask for help instead of screaming. They sit through dinner without falling apart. You know you helped make that happen. You're not just implementing a plan. You're building trust. You're coaching parents in the moment. You're the person they see every week. That consistency matters.
As a BCBA
You build plans based on what you actually observe. You supervise therapists in real situations, not just review paperwork. You're the person families call when they're confused or when progress stalls. You see the whole picture. When a child does something their family thought was impossible, you know your work is part of that.
Our team culture and values
Culture
We're honest. We tell families the truth, even when it's hard. We give staff honest feedback and admit when something isn't working. We respect the work. ABA therapy is hard. Working in homes is hard. We don't expect you to be superhuman. We expect you to be professional, kind, and reliable. We show up. For families and for each other. No cancellations unless it's an emergency. We follow through. We celebrate wins. A kid using a new word. A parent feeling confident for the first time. A month without crisis. We see it and we celebrate it. We solve problems together. Something isn't working? We figure it out. Not blame, not excuses. Just problem-solving.
Hear from our RBT and BCBA team
Hear from our team
"My supervisor actually watched my work"
She gives me feedback I can use. She helps me solve problems in the moment. I've grown more in one year here than I did in three years at my last job. And she cares about burnout—she actually notices and asks how I'm doing.
- Sarah K., RBT, Stafford
"The team actually supports each other"
We're not competing. People stay because they want to. When you work around people who get how hard this is, you show up differently for families.
- Marcus T., RBT, Richmond
"They invested in me while i was building toward my BCBA."
I never felt like I was just filling a role or a hours requirement. They believed in my growth. Now I supervise RBTs I respect. That's the dream.
- Jennifer L., BCBA, Fredericksburg
"My supervisor cares about my life outside of work."
She listens when I'm burnt out. She works with me on scheduling. That changes everything about how you show up for kids and families.
- David M., RBT, Spotsylvania

We hire people new to the field and support you through the learning curve with training, shadowing, and mentorship from experienced clinicians.
How do you prevent burnout?
We notice when people are burnt out. Flexible scheduling, manageable caseloads, a team that understands, and supervisors who care about your well-being make a real difference.
